Why become a member of the Indiana District Employees Association?

• New members can appreciate the benefits mentoring can bring, as they form new networks and friendships.
• Creativity and ideas flow from around the state; IDEA is where they converge together.
• Excellent educational and training opportunities abound.
• Working closely with partnering organizations and State Boards allows our voice to be heard.
• Learning about the State and the Districts in each county, can give you a new perspective on what Conservation Districts are doing.

These are just a few of the reasons to join IDEA; we're sure you'll experience many more as a member! Membership is open to any Indiana Soil and Water Conservation District employee who is supportive of the objectives and policies of IDEA and may be obtained upon payment of annual dues. Members are entitled to vote for IDEA Directors and to vote on any action taken at the Annual IDEA Meeting in January each year.

You'd like to be a member but you're not a District employee? Never fear, we have a place for you to! Any other interested person or organization may become an associate member by paying dues. Associates experience all IDEA's benefits, however, they are not entitled to vote or hold office.
